Army of God....More Than Meets The Eye...

In the jungles, on the plains, in the mountains, in the valleys, upon the waters, in the desert, and all over this planet God has an army. It's made up of the committed, the faithful, the devout, and the righteous.

They are His remnant, His people, and He is their God. They speak the native tongue of every nation. They are rich in God and He sustains them. He guides them and provides for them. He leads them through peril, brokenness, abundance, loss, and great trial.

This earth is not their home. His purpose He fulfills in and through them. They are redeemed and have been given freedom from the grip of eternal death. They rise up amongst men and stand for truth, justice, goodness, and in love reflecting the nature of God by the power of the Holy Spirit to a world in desperate need of Him.

They are weak but He is strong. He has assembled a great army. Together He marches with them toward the gates of hell to seek and save the lost. To bring life to those who are spiritually dead. To give hope to the hopeless. Grace to the undeserving. Unshakable peace to those without it.

The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me, Because the Lord has anointed me

To bring good news to the afflicted; He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted,

To proclaim liberty to captives, And freedom to prisoners;" Isaiah 61:1

This army cannot be stopped. It cannot be defeated. Eternity will record that despite the great power of the wicked and all that is against God, The Great I Am is Victor, and no force, no power, no plan, no spiritual being can snatch victory from His hand.

When the remnant of God is surrounded in every direction by darkness and while unhinged evil is amassing great power it is natural to fear but just like in the story of Elisha who was surrounded by the enemies of Israel..

Don’t be afraid,” the prophet answered. “Those who are with us are more than those who are with them.” 2 Kings 6:16

Elisha knew physically the army of Israel was outnumbered but he prayed for his servant who had already hit the panic button because Elisha was looking at his situation through a supernatural lens. When God is in the picture, that changes everything.

"And Elisha prayed, “Open his eyes, Lord, so that he may see.” Then the Lord opened the servant’s eyes, and he looked and saw the hills full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha." 2 Kings 6:17

We serve a mighty God. He is with us. He is the Commander of the heavenly armies and by His strength, the army of God marches on to victory because we know there is so much more than meets the eye.

"Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:9
