We are in the midst of a titanic battle for the soul of America....

"Only be strong and courageous.." Joshua 1:18

In every generation there is among us those who know the times we are in. They seem to know the direction in which God is headed and they follow His lead and act with such great courage. God still has a great remnant of those who are devoted and love Him. It is amongst this remnant God is calling out for us to not be afraid and stand firm in the truth. He wants us to trust Him and to not lean on our own understanding. I have observed in our generation a great fear of offense among believers. In other words, many of us know the truth but we do not speak it or confront error with it for fear of offending others. This fear is linked to the fear of creating enemies with what we stand for. However, Martin Luther King was a great man who rose up in his generation. He said..

"Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter." "In the end, we will remember not the words of our enemies, but the silence of our friends."

Our country is in the midst of a titanic battle for its soul. The powers of darkness are being exposed at ever level of our society and it is up to the remnant of Christ to speak, to engage, to shine light, to lead, to hold fast to faith, and to pray for victory of all that assails our beautiful land. It's a time for courage and not fear. We must pray for our leaders and not sit silent on issues we know are in conflict with God's design for this nation. I have studied many great leaders and most were forged for and in times like this. I have watched President Trump exhibit great courage and I have also noticed that he has many enemies. Lady Margaret Thatcher "Iron Lady" was one such woman of great courage that God used mightily but she too had many enemies coming from every side trying to keep her from advancing. She knew this poem by heart and drew strength from it.

“No Enemies” by Scottish poet Charles Mackay, who lived from 1814 to 1889.

YOU have no enemies, you say? Alas! my friend, the boast is poor; He who has mingled in the fray

Of duty, that the brave endure, Must have made foes! If you have none,

Small is the work that you have done.

You’ve hit no traitor on the hip, You’ve dashed no cup from perjured lip, You’ve never turned the wrong to right, You’ve been a coward in the fight.

Rise up remnant amongst your family, your friends, your church, your community and be counted among those who are confused, discouraged, and defeated. God is doing a great work in our generation! Don't listen to the many voices of fear instead be strong and courageous.

"I can do everything through Him who gives me strength." Philippians 4:13
